Blackberry Jalapeño Wings

Course: Appetizer   Cuisine: American   Prep Time: 20 min   Cook Time: 40-45 min   Servings:

Ingredients

1 Fresh Jalapeño (diced into med-small chunks)

Drizzle of Olive Oil (or oil of choice)

1/4 Teaspoon Pickled Jalapeños

1 Cup of Granny’s BBQ Sauce

1/2 Cup Blackberry Jelly

Big Poppa’s Sweet Money Seasoning

Directions

Preheat your oven/grill to 300 degrees F

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the oil, blackberry jelly, jalapeños, pickled jalapeños, and Granny’s BBQ sauce. Cook over medium heat until the mixture comes to a boil.
  2. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
  3. Season the chicken wings liberally with Big Poppa’s Sweet Money Seasoning
  4. If baking, bake the wings for 35-45 minutes, or until they are cooked through. If cooking on the grill, place the wings under indirect heat and let them cook for approximately 20 mins. Flip the wings over and let them cook for another 15 min or so. Finally, sear the wings under direct heat and pull once the wings have reached internal temp of 175-180 degrees
  5. Pull wings from oven/grill and toss them in the blackberry jalapeño sauce. Enjoy!
