A delicious twist to the classic Pigs in a Blanket

Pigs in a blanket have become a staple at large gatherings. Their miniature form makes them the perfect finger food. Big Poppa’s smoked version of Pigs in a Blanket is a simple, yet delicious twist to the classic Pigs in a Blanket.

Ingredients

1 tube Original Crescent Rolls (8 count)

1 pack of Hot Louisiana Pre-cooked Smoked Sausage (4 count)

1 jar Hot Pepper Jelly

Directions

Preheat smoker to 325F

Slice sausages into 3rds, 9 pieces total

Find seam of the crescent dough and roll out dough into strips

Roll sliced sausage in the dough, enough to cover the entire piece, trim excess dough as needed

Put onto a greased pan

Place pigs in a blanket on greased pan

Place into the smoker for 17 minutes, or until dough is golden brown

Remove from smoker, place on a plate

Spoon pepper jelly over the pigs in a blanket, about 1 teaspoon, or to taste

Serve
