Ingredients

Puff pastry

Chicken filling

Egg wash

Directions

Preheat the Oven:

Begin by preheating your oven to 375 degrees.

Prepare the Puff Pastry:

Lightly flour both sides of the puff pastry and roll it out.

Cut two large pieces big enough to cover your cast iron pan.

Pre-cook the Puff Pastry:

Spray your cast iron pan with oil.

Lay one piece of puff pastry in the pan.

Pre-cook the puff pastry in the oven for 10 minutes at 375 degrees. This step ensures a crispy crust.

Prepare the Chicken Filling:

While the puff pastry is pre-cooking, prepare your delicious chicken filling. (You can use your favorite recipe.)

Fill the Pre-cooked Puff Pastry:

Once the puff pastry is pre-cooked, fill it with the prepared chicken mixture.

Top with Raw Puff Pastry:

Lay the second raw piece of puff pastry over the cast iron pan, covering the chicken filling.

Create Air Vents and Apply Egg Wash:

Using a fork, poke several holes in the top pastry to allow steam to escape during baking.

Brush the top of the raw puff pastry with an egg wash for that beautiful golden finish.

Bake to Perfection:

Place the cast iron pan in the oven and bake for approximately 20 minutes or until the pastry is cooked fully through and beautifully browned on top.

Serve and Enjoy:

Once baked to perfection, remove the Chicken Pot Pie from the oven.

Allow it to cool slightly, then cut a generous slice and savor the deliciousness.
