A simple 2-ingredient tri-tip recipe that any BBQ lover can enjoy 

Big Poppa’s Sriracha and Money Tri-tip is a simple 2-ingredient recipe that is sure to please your taste buds. The heat in Sriracha and the savory blend of spices in Big Poppa Smokers Money BBQ Rub melt into the tri-tip while it’s cooking creating a savory slab of meat.

1 bottle of sriracha sauce

1/4 cup Big Poppa Smokers Money BBQ Rub


Preheat grill/cooker

Trim excess fat off tri-tip, if desired

Coat tri-tip thoroughly in sriracha sauce

Liberally apply a heavy coat of Big Poppa Smokers Money BBQ Rub on tri-tip, repeat on all sides

Pat/press down rub on tri-tip, let rub “sweat”(allow salt to dissolve) for 5 minutes before cooking

Place seasoned tri-tip on a grill, cook in indirect heat for 15 minutes on each side

Move tri-tip to direct heat to sear, sear for 5 minutes on each side or until you reach an internal temperature of 130-140

Remove tri-tip from grill, slice and serve
